Tips, Tricks & Reminders

Nomad Makes Both Permanent and Mobile Systems

Early in our history, the Nomad systems that we produced were only made with wheels making them easy to move from room to room, allowing customers to maximize the use of their Nomad system(s).
Over the past 10 years, we've installed many systems that remain in a permanent location.

Whether a Nomad system is located in a college lecture hall or a courtroom, being able to keep a Nomad in the same space has multiple benefits for the users.

Primarily, permanent solutions are more reliable. When an AV system is being moved, disconnecting and reconnecting the system are critical. If the system is moved before everything is disconnected, cables will be pulled and damage may occur to plugs or ports. When they are being reconnected, it is important that it be done correctly or the system will not function properly.

Furthermore, permanent solutions can instill confidence in users as they know the system will be ready when they enter the room. Time is saved when nobody needs to worry about set up or take down.

All of these factors make a permanent Nomad system a great benefit to its users.

Additionally, if you have a room with multiple audience locations, Nomad offers the Pivot 180 base for the Nomad LT. The entire podium rotates in place so the user can face different segments of the audience.

 Real Wood
A Step Up in Design

When you purchase a Nomad there are many options that you may choose from to include in your Nomad system. Now Nomad buyers can request the option of real wood veneer for the cabinet. Options include the choice of wood type (oak, maple, etc.) and the stain finish.
Example of oak wood
The look of real wood provides a very rich, opulent appearance, but that also comes at a premium. Nomad does offer a wide array of laminate finishes that provide a more durable, long-lasting finish.

By building our own furniture, Nomad is able to design and build high-quality furniture that meets the requirements of our customers. We also are able to offer you numerous choices to create an attractive AV system in your courtroom or conference room.
