Tips, Tricks & Reminders
User Tip: Duplicate Laptop Screen
When connecting a laptop computer to a Nomad System through the VGA or HDMI cable, occasionally an image won't be displayed on a system’s confidence monitor or output. In an attempt to save battery, some computers turn their output ports off when not in use. Simply connecting the laptop to the Nomad System may not be enough for the computer to automatically turn on the port. If a laptop is connected and selected as the active source and the computer’s image does not display on the confidence monitor:
• Hold the Windows Key &
press “P”
• Select “Duplicate”
This will tell the computer that there is an output connected and prompt it to turn on the port. The confidence monitor and output displays will now show the image that is seen on the laptop’s built-in screen.
