Nomad PS

Mobile Presentation Cart

The Nomad PS is the original Nomad AV System. Designed for organizations that were looking for mobile audio visual solutions, the Nomad PS Mobile Presentation Cart incorporates a host of features that make it exceptionally easy to stretch your budget by sharing a single AV system between rooms, floors or buildings.

Compact Furniture

Our most compact AV System. The compact design of the mobile presentation cart helps users maneuver the system through narrow halls and doorways in order to share the system between rooms where space is at a premium.

Plug and Play

With mobility in mind, the mobile presentation cart was specifically designed to create a high-tech presentation setting in any room that has a blank wall and a power outlet. Roll it in, plug it in and let the presentation begin.

Self-Contained Solution

While each of our models house all of the interface and supporting technologies for audio visual presentations, the Nomad PS is our only model that secures a display device (projector) to the furniture.

Completely Mobile

The Nomad PS – mobile presentation cart is so oriented towards mobility that there is no fixed option available. Heavy duty wheels and a retractable handle help make the PS the most mobile of all the Nomad AV System models.

Furniture Features

This proprietary mobile presentation cart was specifically engineered to integrate the select hardware used in Nomad AV Systems and is not sold separately.

Standard Configuration

The standard configuration of a Nomad AV System includes all of the interactive, supporting and peripheral technology commonly found in a fully functional AV presentation solution. Options can be added, removed or substituted to customize the mobile presentation cart to meet your specific needs.

Interactive Technology

Confidence Monitor

duplicates any image that is being shown on the big screen. Presenters can remain confident in what is being seen by the audience while maintaining a natural, face-forward presentation.

Document Camera

The 21st century version of the overhead projector…without the transparencies. The doc cam gives presenters the ability to display any type of non-digitized content in real-time, such as books, newspaper articles, 3D models, etc.

Mounted Touch Screen Controller

The touch screen controller provides presenters with a user interface that allows them to easily control the mobile presentation cart.

Blu-ray Player

The Blu-ray player gives presenters the ability to play previously recorded content that is stored on CDs, DVDs, or Blu-ray discs.

Personal Device Connections (BYOD)

Hard-wired HDMI and VGA cables give presenters the ability to present multimedia content from their personal devices such as notebook computers, tablets and smart phones.

Apple TV

The Apple TV gives presenters the ability to wirelessly present multimedia content from Apple devices such as iPads, MacBooks, iPhones, etc.

Bose Sound System w/ Subwoofer

The built-in Bose sound system provides deep, clear sound and, in many cases, eliminates the need for expensive audio infrastructure.

Supporting Technology

Audio Distribution

Splits the audio signal to be sent to the internal stereo amplifier and to the output panel for integration with existing audio infrastructure.

HDMI Distribution

Splits and amplifies the HDMI video signal to be sent to the confidence monitor and display device(s) while managing HDCP and EDID communication.

Switcher/Scaler

The switcher/scaler consolidates audio and video signals in order to provide fade-thru-black switching and video scaling of all input sources to avoid resolution issues.

Control Processor

The control processor is the brain of the control system that interprets and distributes the commands entered at the touch screen controller.

Power Distribution

Surge-protecting power strips are used to distribute power to the 15+ devices in the mobile presentation cart from a single external power cord.

IP Distribution

A network hub/switch is used to distribute a single Cat 5/6 signal into multiple network connections for several devices throughout the mobile presentation cart while managing dedicated IP addresses for each.

Cables

75+ cables of varying length and type (HDMI, network, audio, power, etc.) are used to connect and consolidate all of the devices into one fully integrated mobile presentation cart.

Cat 5/6 Transmitter/ Receiver Pair

A room’s cabling infrastructure is dramatically reduced as the HDMI video and RS232 control signals from the mobile presentation cart are carried over a single Cat 5/6 cable to a projector or monitor.

Powered Stereo Amplifier

The powered stereo amplifier amplifies the low-power audio received from input sources to drive high-quality sound through the speakers and the subwoofer.

Peripheral Technology

60`` LED Large Format Monitor or 3000 Lumen Projector

A projector or large format monitor provides the big screen that allows the audience to view presented images.

Mounting hardware for selected display device

The hardware to mount the selected display device to the ceiling or wall is included with the mobile presentation cart.

Control System Functionality

Audio-follows-video Source Switching

Audio and video signals are simultaneously switched with the press of a single button.

Volume Controls

Volume controls are present on each menu to ensure that volume up, volume down and mute controls are always quickly accessible.

Blank Image

The image on the big screen can be quickly blanked and restored as the confidence monitor stays active in cases where the visual aid needs to be prepared before it is presented.

Output Display Power Control

The projector or large format monitor can be turn on and off using the touch screen controller at the mobile presentation cart.

Device Sub-Menus

Sub-menus that allow the presenter to control the functions of an input device are displayed as soon as that device is selected as the active source. ( Available for the Document Camera, Blu-ray and Apple TV )
